Artist's Description

This image was taken at the Bosque del Apache Wildlife Refuge in the Rio Grande valley, New Mexico. The sun was setting, the view is looking East with few clouds and low light. The Bosque del Apache, in southern Socorro County, New Mexico, is administered by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. The first infrared photographs were not published until 1910. Infrared photography became popular with photography enthusiasts in the 1930s when suitable film was introduced commercially.

About Britt Runyon

Britt Runyon

I am a New Mexico based Adventure Riding/Rafting/SCUBA Outdoor Digital Photographer, always on the qui vive for what Nature and humans provide. Capturing an image in my camera is but the first step in an artistic process. That initial bit of information then can pass through countless permutations before being declared complete. The journey from capture to completion is a lawless territory.
